Steve Urick's Liver Transplant
***07/17/08***
Hi everyone, Well, we seem to be getting a lot of people asking about "what to wear', considering that the flyer says "Formal Benefit". While I would like to see all the women in formal dresses, and us guys wearing blacktie, that is hardly the case for this event.( although I am sure all of you would look stunning in formal evening wear) ;). This is way casual event, and sorry for the confusion. Look forward to seeing everyone there ( This is going to be fun!) Steve E. 06/30/08 Updated picture. Steve has touched the lives of many and we deeply appreciate the unbelieveable support he has received (WOW!). At times like this, the assistance of family, friends and the community is crucial to help ensure a positive outcome. Family and friends of Steve are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses, as well as extremely expensive immunosuppressant medications that Steve will need for the rest of his life. Your continued prayers and support are greatly appreciated. To help offset Steve's uncovered costs, we have planned a benefit for him. ****The Steve Urick Benefit July 19th, 2008**** K & J Catering 2546 7th Ave E. Over 10 years ago, Steve was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). PSC is an autoimmune disease that attacks the bile ducts of the liver. Steve's toughness throughout the past decade should not go unnoticed. Layne (Steve's wife), and myself (Lisa's husband), along with all families involved extend our prayers, love, and thanks for Lisa's truly remarkable gift of LOVE...As she has stated so many times, our main focus is on Steve and his health and this transplant will be the beginning of a new and healthy life for him.
